A Turmeric Latte for Those Warm and Healthy Times

Turmeric latte, a hot beverage, also known as “Golden Milk” or “Golden Sunshine,” is whole milk flavored with powdered turmeric, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Honey can make it sweeter, and freshly ground black pepper to give it a little kick.

This golden beverage can brighten your day and is a real pleasure on particularly chilly days.

In addition to improving immunity and supporting the liver, turmeric latte helps fight colds and coughs, aiding digestion, cleansing the blood, and aiding in the healing of autoimmune illnesses.

Because of its anti-inflammatory characteristics, it is regarded as a fantastic Ayurvedic medicine.

Tips To Follow While Making Tumeric Latte

  • Milk: The kind used will have an impact on the flavor and texture. For example, coconut milk will not only give your latte a smoother texture, but it will also impart a distinctive flavor.
  • Fresh ginger: Grate it into the sauce for a more intense flavor. When serving, drain the broth through a strainer.
  • Make it frothy: Whip up the froth with a milk frother or a blender to get the desired texture. Important: Turmeric may quickly discolor your blender, so be sure to thoroughly clean it with detergent and warm water after each use.
  • Iced turmeric latte: Pour the turmeric latte over a cup of ice and serve it immediately, particularly during the summer.
  • Keep this for later: Pour the mixture into an airtight glass jar and place it in the refrigerator for a day.


For the latte mix

  • 5 tbsp ground turmeric
  • 3 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

For the latte

  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 1 tsp turmeric latte mix
  • 1 tsp honey or additional liquid sweeteners


For the latte mix

  1. Combine the ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and black pepper in a large mixing basin. Mix everything together with a whisk.
  2. Shift the mixture to a glass container with a tight-fitting lid.

For the latte

  1. In a small saucepan, combine a splash of milk and 12 tsp of turmeric latte mix. Bring to a boil. Mix everything together with a whisk.
  2. Add the remaining milk and whisk to mix, then boil over medium-high heat till steaming, about 5 mins.
  3. Slowly pour into a cup, top with your favorite sweetener, and enjoy.
