Do an At-Home Spa Day
Just because you can’t go out and get a professional facial doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself. Organize an at-home spa day for yourself or a group of friends. Set a menu of activities beforehand and Zoom or FaceTime a group of like-minded friends for a relaxing day at home. You can use any products you have on hand, or DIY your own. Mix up a batch of water infused with lemon and cucumber, light some candles, and get ready to relax into bliss.

Even if you were already cautious when applying makeup, the COVID-19 epidemic should be a wake-up call to take personal hygiene even more seriously. If you’re used to applying makeup with your fingertips, make sure you wash your hands well beforehand. Sharpen pencils before every use to get rid of the area that may have been exposed to bacteria, and wash brushes and sponges at least once a week. Current CDC guidelines suggest that the virus can live on surfaces anywhere between a few hours and several days.

Almost everyone’s daily routine has been disrupted over the last few weeks. The most important thing to keep it mind when it comes to your beauty routine is to do what feels good. Makeup keeping you sane and feeling normal? Wear it every day! Blow-drying your hair driving you crazy? Throw your hair in a high ponytail and forget about it!
