One of our favorite holiday destinations is New York City! From the iconic tree at Rockefeller Center to the Rockettes to the holiday lights that adorn the city everywhere, New York is a sight to behold in December. To plan your visit, SEEMA suggests these must-dos:

1. The tree at Rockefeller Center: Missed the lighting? No worries. There’s still time to take in THE tree. A tradition that dates back more than 75 years, we are surprised that the tree does not have its own Instagram account! The 2019 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree has pride of place above the ice skating “pond” known as The Rink between West 48th and West 51st Streets and Fifth and Sixth Avenues. It’s a great place for family pictures!

2. The Bazaars, the bazaars, the bazaars: Whether it’s the Bank of America Winter Village in Bryant Park, The Union Square Holiday Market or the Christmas shops at the Oculus, Manhattan is full of shops that display local artists, ETSY stars and pop-up stores. Ornaments made out of felt, creams that smell like a tropical paradise and hand-crafted edibles, these bazaars are a great way to find a gift that is truly one-of-a-kind

3. Hot chocolate at Max Brenner: The closest thing to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, we love indulging in all things chocolate at Max Brenner. This restraunt is on a mission to create a new chocolate culture. Our favorite beverages are the Chocolate martini and the Mocha Madness. You, can indulge further in decadent-looking hot chocolates, milkshakes, chocolate fondues, waffles, crepes, sweet pizzas, cakes, s’mores, cookies and ice creams.

4. Window-gazing: Even the windows come alive during the holidays. While Macy’s ‘World’s Largest Store” in Herald Square , Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s always put on a great show, SEEMA’s favorite NYC department store windwos can be found at Bergdorf Goodman's, conveniently near the sparkly windows at Tiffany’s Bulgari, Cartier and other delights. Don’t miss the crystal snowflake that adorns 57th and Fifth!.

5. The Radio City Rockettes: Known for their spectacular precision dancing, the Rockettes have been performed at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan since 1932. Their Christmas Spectacular is a not-to-be-missed holiday show! Expect memory-making music, dance and costumes for the whole family.
