There is something about Labor Day weekend that calls for a reset. The long weekend, with a day off on a workday (Monday), celebrates the contributions of American workers and their right to humane conditions.
But Labor Day weekend has also come to signify endings and beginnings. It is the unofficial end of summer— of a relaxed way of living and working—and the beginning of the school year, a time to step to attention and get to work.
It is the last three-day weekend until Thanksgiving and a chance to recharge your batteries, enjoy summer’s last hurrah, and buckle up for the busy fall season.
Here at SEEMA, we are also paying homage to Labor Day by lightening our load, spending time with our families, saying goodbye to kids going off to college, and getting organized for the busy Fall filled with exciting new initiatives for SEEMA.
So our newsletter this week takes a slightly different and more relaxed approach to our content. We are focusing on celebrating Labor Day the SEEMA way, featuring our staff’s favorite Labor Day eats; sharing our top tips to make back to school stress free; taking a look at Labor Day traditions across the globe; and getting ready for an impactful and action-packed Fall. We will fill you in on all the exciting new initiatives we have lined up for the rest of the year, but for now, we are taking time to relax, recharge and soak up the sunshine. Enjoy!
