October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Unfortunately, even though 1 in 8 South Asian women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer during her lifetime, the stigma lingers.
Many women don’t disclose their diagnosis to their family or social circle, and miss out on emotional and social support.
