About Usha Mangeshkar
Usha Mangeshkardid not go to school or college because of her tough family situation. In her early days, their family moved a lot before settling in Mumbai. Apart from singing, Usha Mangeshkar likes to paint. She always used to draw the scenario of a song and imagine it before actually singing it. Usha Mangeshkar made her debut in Bollywood in 1954 with the song Badi Dhoom Dham Se Meri Bhabhi Aayi. Early in her career, she did low-budget movies, and her songs were not sensational. However, Usha’s life-changing movie was Jai Santoshi Maa in 1975. In that movie, there were several devotional songs, and one of them was ʼMai Toh Aartiʼ which became a super duper hit.

Controversies
Ajay Devgn’s film Total Dhamaal remixed the original song, Munda. The audience brutally criticized the song, and no one was happy with the remix. This was the case with Usha Mangeshkarand Lata as well. The sisters were not delighted as the original song’s integrity got ruined, and the remix was also a disaster. On this, Ajay said that Lata and Usha Mangeshkar are his seniors and have the right to voice their opinions. Furthermore, Ajay even said they could slap him because it is their right and they are very senior to him.
Lata Mangeshkar suggested the name of singer Usha Mangeshkar for the Padma awards. Upon knowing this, the industry members and the audience was not happy and claimed that this was nepotism.
