All accounts indicate that the event was a rousing success, with guests dancing to the wedding band and covering the happy couple with turmeric paste as a representation of good fortune. Katrina was adorned with a jaw-dropping Sabyasachi Mukherjee creation. The bride wore a cream lehenga with gota and tilla appliqués and a gota and marori embroidered organza dupatta, finished with kiran. She also complemented the look with a set of flowery jhumkas and a festive pendant.

When the big day eventually arrived, it was jam-packed with a variety of ceremonies. To honor Vicky Kaushal’s Punjabi heritage, a saat phera event was held. Katrina decided on a customary crimson Sabyasachi lehenga for the final nuptial event. Her striking red wedding lehenga was made with handmade matka silk with delicate tilla workmanship and precisely crafted renaissance zardozi borders in velour.
Her headdress was adorned with a kiran , a nod to her husband’s Punjabi heritage. Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery created a one-of-a-kind wedding set for Katrina Kaif, consisting of uncut diamonds set in gold, and finished with delicate pearls.
