Born in Maharashtra, Mubai, India in 1983, Shaw attended Wilson College in Mumbai and
Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai. However, he did not graduate and considers himself an MBA Dropout.
His first job was as a junior programmer in a business outsourcing company after he dropped out from the MBA program. During the years from 2000 to 2010, he had the position of CEO for different companies.
He worked at FreeCharge, a cellphone bill recharging startup, which he founded, from 2010. It was later sold to Snapdeal in a big e-commerce acquisition. More recently, he worked as an advisor to The Times Group and AngelList. His interests have always centered around the fields of science and behavioral finance.
From humble beginnings, he began working when he was a teenager. This was to help with the family income, addressing their financial problems. Due to this, he believes that those who did not grow up with money are able to see the value of what you can do for the lives of other people.
