Born in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India in 1987, Divya Gokulnath first attended Frank Anthony Public School in New Delhi. She went on to study at The National Degree College in Jayanagar, Karnataka and the RV College of Engineering in Karnataka. Her studies included Biotechnology.
After finishing her studies, she decided to go to the United States. She took Byju’s classes in coaching for passage of her Graduate Record Exam. She soon had an offer to teach classes for Byju as she awaited her results. Her students were four years younger than herself, and when the test results announcement came, she made a decision. She would remain as a teacher for Byju’s students.
She eventually married Byju Raveendran. Along with his brother, they worked together on the app, and she became the director of the parent company, Think&Learn. This is the company that owns “Byju’s- The Learning App.” Being in charge of the syllabus, she created understandable content. This content would allow the user to learn concepts while fully engaging the person; the result was that they would then understand with clarity.
Students became very satisfied with her learning style. She opened the path to learning online, as a result. Making online videos which she adds to the app, she clearly presents the concepts so the students may understand.
The Think & Learn Company now has headquarters in Bangalore, India. There are over 115 million students registered for its application. It currently offers primary and secondary school subjects. The company overseas domestic test preparation courses, learning programs and other applications. The focus of Byju’s are professionals involved in education as well as students.
