A delicious dessert for the cold season

Indulge in the rich warmth of fig and almond halwa, a comforting winter dessert. The fusion of dried figs and coarsely ground almonds, perfumed with cardamom and saffron, creates a delightful treat for cold evenings.

Recipe of Fig and Almond Halwa

Figs (dried, finely chopped) 1 cup

Almonds (coarsely ground) 1 cup

Ghee 4 tbsp

Milk 1 cup

Sugar ½ cup

Cardamom powder ½ tsp Saffron strands a few (soaked in warm milk)


Heat ghee in a pan. Add chopped figs and sauté until they soften.

Add coarsely ground almonds and continue to sauté until golden.

Pour in milk, add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron-infused milk. Stir continuously.

Cook until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan. Garnish with chopped almonds and serve warm.
