Nora Fatehi is a well-known Indo-Morrocco-Canadian actress, dancer, and model who primarily plays in Indian films. She is famous for her glamorous style in her movies, gorgeous looks, and fantastic talent. Read on to learn more about her.

Early Life

Nora Fatehi was born in Quebec City, Canada, on 6th February 1992 to Moroccan parents. She and her younger brother, Omar Fatehi, grew up in Canada, and she always wanted to be an actress. In some interviews, she says she considers herself an Indian because her mother is a third-generation Indian.

She does not have formal dance training but used to watch videos and learn the dances at home, especially belly dancing.

She attended Westview Centennial Secondary School in Toronto and later York University in Toronto but dropped out to focus on her acting and modeling career. Her passion for acting made her relocate to Mumbai, where she landed great modeling and acting deals.


After leaving university, Nora Fatehi signed with Orange Model Management, a model and talent agency that helped her land major modeling gigs.

Nora Fatehi made her acting debut in 2014 with her role in ‘Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans,’ a Bollywood film. She then made a Telugu film debut by performing an item number called ‘Ittage Recchipodham’ in the film’ Temper.’

She followed that with a special appearance in ‘Mr. X,’ Emraan Hashmi’s starter film produced by Mahesh Bhatt and directed by Vikram Bhatt. Her career and popularity continued to skyrocket by appearing in item numbers for ‘Kukkurukuru’ for ‘Kick 2.’

In June 2015, actress Nora Fatehi signed for ‘Sher,’ a Telugu film, and in August the same year, she signed for another Telugu film, ‘Loafer.’ Puri Jagannadh directed ‘Loafer’ and she starred alongside Varun Tej.

In November of the same year, she got another role in ‘Oopiri.’ In December 2015, Nora Fatehi joined the Bigg Boss house as a wild card contestant in its ninth season. After spending three weeks in the house, she got evicted on the 12th week (83rd day).

Her final project of that year was her appearance in ‘Manohari,’ the item song for ‘Baahubali: The Beginning,’ a Telugu film. She appeared in the piece alongside Rana Daggubati and Prabhas.

In 2016, Nora Fatehi was a contestant in ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa,’ a reality television dance show. She then got a lead role in ‘My Birthday Song’ alongside Sanjay Suri.

In 2018, she made a web series debut by appearing in ‘Ladies Special: Types of Single Girls’ which aired on a YouTube channel called The Timeliners.

In the same year, she appeared in ‘Satyamev Jayate’ where she recreated ‘Dilbar,’ a song from a 1990 blockbuster. The song choreographed her belly dance for actors Sanjay Kapoor and Sushmita Sen, and the video gathered over 20 million YouTube views within 24 hours. It also became among the fastest YouTube videos to reach 100 million views.

The video also made her the first African-Arab female artist with a song that hit over a billion views on the platform. She later collaborated with Fnaire, a Moroccan hip-hop group, to release a ‘Dilbar’ Arabic version.

In February 2019, Nora Fatehi signed one of her most important deals with T-Series, a record label, as an exclusive artist. Therefore, she will appear in their upcoming music videos, movies, web films, and web series.

In the same year, she collaborated with Rayvanny, a Tanzanian songwriter and musician, to release ‘Pepeta,’ her first international English song.

In 2020, she appeared in ‘Street Dancer 3D’ as a supporting actress, making it her first film with a supporting actress role. She also choreographed and danced to the Arabic version of ‘Swag Se Swagat.’ She posted it on YouTube and received a lot of appreciation and positive reviews.

Nora Fatehi also sang ‘Naah,’ a song composed by Harrdy Sandhu, and ‘Kamariya’ for the film ‘Stree.’ She performed the latter with Rajkummar Rao, and it has over 86 million YouTube views.

While she is not married, she has been in relationships with Prince Narula, a television personality and actor, Varinder Ghuman, a bodybuilder, and Angad Bedi, an Indian actor.
