Mango pulp is combined with a strong sugar syrup and sun dried to create the Indian fruit leather known as aam papad. Additionally, it is referred to as Aamta and Aamba Vadi. Although it comes in a variety of flavours, the original taste of  Aam Papad is sugary. Aam papad is one of our favourite dishes since it stores well and is easy to prepare. The natural flavour of mangoes may be preserved in this way all year long! Make a large quantity and store it in the fridge. That’s when your aam papad from June comes in handy, and you’re eating a salad or smoothie with actual mango pieces in October.

Do you really need any more reasons to start making your own aam papad? Probably not right? This recipe for aam papad is simple enough for anyone to make.

Why Eat Aam Papad?

Aam papad contains ghee, among other healthy constituents like cardamom. Here are just a few benefits of ingesting ghee, giving you all the more reason to make your own aam papad!

How ghee can benefit you

Ghee gets more negative publicity than any other culinary ingredient. Over time, it has become clear that ghee is really beneficial to your health rather than harmful. As it turns out, our grandparents were correct in preparing our dals with ghee. It’s been compared to gold in the Bible. Because of its many health advantages, our forefathers were aware of ghee’s true worth.

Contains Good Fats

Studies have shown that ghee is a low-fat cooking oil. It contains heart-healthy lipids that help the body produce more good cholesterol. Ghee, unlike other fats, doesn’t promote heart disease!

Aids the digestive process

Gut health is significantly linked to ghee intake. Before every meal, our forebears would take a teaspoon of ghee, like they did back in the ancient days. It also  decreases cancer risk by lining the intestines.

Enhances the body’s natural defences against infection

Ghee is a good source of Butyric Acid, which aids in the production of T cells that fight illness.

It comprises vitamins and minerals

Oil-soluble vitamins A and E, which are necessary for  liver health, as well as hormone and reproductive balance, may be found in ghee.

 Comprises anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties

Because of the butyric acid in ghee, it’s anti-cancer. Anti-inflammatory properties are due to the presence of antioxidants.

Increases bone density and tensile strength

Because of its high concentration of the vitamin K, ghee aids in the absorption of calcium. Dental decay and atherosclerosis may therefore be prevented with the use of ghee.  Check out the greatest foods for bone strength as well!

The treatment of hypothyroidism

Thyroid problems may be helped by using ghee, which helps keep hormones in check.

Assists with weight reduction

Ghee increases the metabolic rate of the body, making it an excellent weight reduction food. Intake of ghee allows the body to break down other fats, resulting in weight reduction.

A smoke point that’s quite elevated

At high temperatures, ghee does not break down into free radicals. Cancer, among other disorders, is caused by free radicals. As a result, it’s a fantastic cooking oil and a great medium for deep-frying.

Helps with menstrual Issues

Ghee has been shown to help regulate the body’s hormones. As a result, it’s an excellent choice for women who want to eliminate symptoms of menstruation problems including pre-menstrual stress.

It’s a Great Snack

Consumption of ghee increases hunger in both children and adults. Adding it to your child’s diet is a good idea because of this additional benefit.

Enhances Smell and Taste

It is amazing how much better a food tastes after being infused with the flavour of ghee.
