The Indo-American Community Federation (IACF) held its annual Unity Dinner at the India Community Center in Milpitas on April 18, bringing together over 360 attendees, including elected officials, tech experts, and diverse community leaders. Since 2002, the event has fostered unity through dialogue on pressing issues—this year’s focus was Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, featuring a high-profile panel discussion.

The dinner saw participation from 25+ public officials, including federal, state, county, and city representatives. Notable supporters included Washington Health, Bay Area Community Health, Comcast, and global financial advisor Deepak Ganju. The conference explored AI’s role in public services, emphasizing safe, responsible implementation. Attendees engaged with experts on how emerging technologies can unite communities while addressing security challenges.
The evening blended policy discussions with cultural performances by Chinese and Indian artists, followed by a sumptuous Indian dinner and hosted bar. Founded in 1994 by Jeevan Zutshi, IACF has long promoted cross-cultural collaboration, notably after 9/11. The federation celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2019 and continues to be a cornerstone for inclusive dialogue.
