How to Make Kashmiri Kofta
Requirements
Kofta components
- An egg
- ½ tsp Chilly powder
- 2 tsp Mustard oil
- ½ tsp Garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 500g Keema (ground)
- 1 tbsp gram flour
Gravy Components
- Salt to taste
- ¾ tsp Chilly powder
- ½ tsp ginger powder
- ½ tsp saunf/fennel seed powder
- ½ cup Mustard oil
- •A sprinkling of hing
- ¾ cup Dahi/Yogurt
- ¾ tsp garam masala
Technique for Making Kashmiri Kofta
- To make kofta, combine all of the components.
- Next, roll the dough into spheres after applying a little amount of sarson oil on your fingers.
- Form the spheres into long sausages to be used as koftas.
- Cast aside.
- While the sarson oil is heating, add the hing and chilly powder.
- Turn the heat down to moderate and cook the bhuno dahi, turning often, until it is light brown, about fifteen minutes.
- Stir in the garam masala and a cup of boiling water, bring to a boil, and then gently drop the koftas, gradually, into the sauce.
- Stir regularly and simmer for approximately 25 mins, or until the vegetables are soft. Accompany your Kashmiri koftas with a preferred rice, and serve while it’s still warm!
