Vice President Kamala Devi Harris has inspired women and girls all over the world to dream big and aim for the stars. With her appointment to the second highest office in the United States, aspirations that seemed out of reach for many women, including women of color and of South Asian origin, now seems possible.
During her victory speech, Harris encouraged girls to realize those dreams. “Every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities.”
Harris’ inauguration inspired Pooja Bavishi, Founder and CEO of Malai, a dessert shop in Brooklyn, to launch a new ice cream called Madame Vice President.
