Set in 1969, Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time . . . in Hollywood follows a faded television actor (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his stunt double (Brad Pitt) as they strive to achieve fame during the final years of Hollywood’s golden age. Interweaving multiple story lines and an ensemble cast, many of them based on real-life actors and musicians, it all plays likes a modern fairy tale, with Charles Manson’s “family” the monsters at its edge.
