Pomegranates are a super house of wellness, and it is a great idea to make them part of your daily diet.

Pomegranates are a great addition to your diet, as they are rich in antioxidants, containing punicalagins and anthocyanins, which help fight oxidative stress and slow cellular aging and offer higher antioxidant activity than green tea or red wine. They are good for heart health, as they can reduce blood pressure, lower LDL (“bad” cholesterol), and improve HDL (“good” cholesterol). They improve blood vessel function, reducing the risk of atherosclerosis. Compounds in pomegranate help reduce chronic inflammation linked to obesity, diabetes, and arthritis, and it is rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, folate, and polyphenols that strengthen immune function. Some studies suggest pomegranate compounds may slow the growth of prostate, breast, and colon cancer cells.
