Colombo

Galle
Located on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, Galle is home to the Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Known for its beautiful beaches, Galle has a natural harbor and the National Maritime Museum, as well as a National Museum that archives its checkered past. Do make time to visit the Tsunami Museum at Hikkaduwa that documents the devastating 2004 tsunami through a series of somber photographs. Sigiriya

When here, do not miss visiting the Hurulu Eco Park at Habarana, where you can see the elephants in their natural habitat.
